Haravgi Hotel in Pelion (Pilio)
 


The picturesque village is built in an inspiring location only 47km
(30miles) from the town of Volos in an altitude of 220m (720 feet). It
is the largest village of Pelion and show considerable growth both
commercially and culturally during the 17th and 18th centuries.

Zagora in the Slavic language means “in the back of the mountain” (a
name it kept since the 10th century) and there in the back side of mountain Pelion you will
find the village, which is comprised by the neighborhoods of Agios Georgios, Agias Kyriakis,
Agias Paraskevis and Sotiros. From ancient artifacts found in the region (Greek ruins,
Pagason coins etc) it appears that it has been populated as early as the since Homer’s time.
